Practice and Course Facilities

The Greg Diddams Golf Academy at Upchurch River Valley is the perfect place for the beginner to learn the all important basics and for the more seasoned player to hone their skills.

Starting with the 24 bay floodlit driving range, for the beginner it’s the ideal environment to learn the fundamentals of golf, getting those all important basics of grip, stance and posture perfected before venturing onto the course or damaging your swing!!

The more advanced player can begin on the range with some c-swing video analysis using the most up to date technology to determine exactly where you need to improve, then help you with clear and precise instruction, to put strategies in place to straighten your game out.

Having spent those first important sessions on the range learning the fundamentals of the game you can move out onto our 9 hole putting green and short game pitching area.  Here our beginner can learn the art of the short game, the game within a game, and the more advanced player can learn their true short game handicap, and find out where they lose those costly shots.  With everything from a short putt to a 70 yard pitch available it really can be a full short game experience.

You can then move to our short 9 hole Academy course where holes range from 112 yards up to 303 yards, a fantastic little course for perfecting recently learnt long shots or finesse shots around the green.  Now is the chance to start facing some on-course decisions - which club to use, what type of shot to hit and how to play that shot,  and  you will see how good on course strategies can save you so many shots. 

Finally once you are ready you can choose from either our long 9 hole course with its 623 yard uphill par 5 eighth hole or our undulating parkland 18 hole course with some beautiful views over the River Medway, there really is something for everyone and of every ability.
