NewsEaster Scramble Wash Out 23-03-2008 The Upchurch River Valley juniors and cubs played a texas scramble format over the New Long 9 hole on Sat 22nd March. The competitors battled through rain, hail and sleet driven in on gale force winds and it was impressive to see 5 teams of boys still keen to play. After battling the weather for some time and all teams having completed at least 5 holes the event was cut short and the winners decided over those first 5 holes. The eventual winners were Matt Busby, James Busby and Jake Arnold. Well done boys. A big thankyou to everyone that played in very testing conditions and a massive thankyou to all the parents who continue to walk around with the kids and encourage them, it is very much appreciated.
